CWD: 02 L d'Or

This is drinking very well indeed. Much better than my last couple of 02 Briords, which seems to have not held up as well,,though maybe that's just bottle variation. Nice lemon / apricot fruit profile, with good mineral cut. No hurry to drink up, but I don't think it will improve.

Egads, acronyms. What is "CWD"? (Chronic wasting disease (CWD?)

. . . . Pete

Core Wine Discussion I believe. Anyway, it’s been an alternative to the “TN” label for a couple decades now.

huge bottle variation at this point

best bottles of 02 Briords are stellar, and, funny enough, most memorable bottle of the past couple of years had a low fill

you didn't happen to stick a glass or two worth of l d'or in the fridge overnight? I know the 97-01 range is quite resilient, but I don't recall getting a chance to play with the 02 extensively outside a gulp'n'run at a racines dinner. Need to twist a friend's arm to open the 02 in the next week or two; will report back.

Opened my last bottle of the 2002 L d'Or yesterday. Damn, what a wine. Drinking perfectly - flavors have developed but without losing the tension or structure. Wish I had more. Apologies Pavel, but we were unable to save any overnight.

I can cover him if his other comrades fall through. Excelsior too.

Pavel -- no, I didn't save any overnight. Didn't change much in the four hours or so it was open.

Today's beverage is the 14 Desvignes Morgon La Voutte St Vincent, also drinking very nicely.
