not asking for a jeebus

So I have tallied votes so far. Many people can do Sunday afternoon, though they prefer not. Some people can't do Friday or evenings (no particular enthusiasm for Saturday). It seems to vote is for Sun. 11/8. Gail handles zoom invitations here, so she'll probably be sending it out (her name is Gail Grella and not Gail Loesberg) so don't delete her message.

On Friday evenings, as I said earlier, some DC disorderlies do a regular one on Friday nights from roughly 8-10. No organization. We drink something and name it. We talk about random things. If you would like to join one, Cole says to email him and he'll send out an invitation to you.
 
Thanks Jonathan. So what time will this be? Any chance it could be later afternoon for the west coasters? Understand tho if that doesn't work. We'll be flex.
 
3pm Pacific does not work. 3pm Eastern does, but not great. What would work best is 730 eastern, 430 pacific. But we realize this is tough to schedule and will be flex.
 
OK anyone who wants to join some random DC winos (including the Professor) this Friday at 8pm or some future Friday, pm me (from any time zone you choose).

For Sundays you guys can sort it out.
 
Gail has only had responses from 2-3 of you. THat's OK if that is all that are interested. But if you want to do this, and you can stop following the NY Times Live Updates for a couple of minutes, you should think of emailing her so she can put you on her Zoom invitation list.

Just contact Cole Kendall. He runs the invite to Friday evening.
 
I am sorry to say we can't make Sunday, the weekend just filled up too much (ailing parent)...

However I too would like to claim honorary DC ness (Georgetown grad, does that work?)...

Since Carolyn Betensky is on the list, does that mean Callahan has been lurking and will join?! Could be an extra incentive here for folks to come out!
 
Here is a pre-jeeb non-participant note from last night:

95 Font-Sane Gigondas Pretty perfect timing to open, perhaps the 95s are finally rounding out. A bit dry and angular at opening, but within a half hour, softened, while maintaining the 95 structure. A bit plummy, though not overly so; spice, pepper, perhaps some residual oak but not sure? Enjoyable!

If Robert is feeling up to it, they may show up. Otherwise not. It's always day by day with him. But they have participated frequently in our Friday night Zooms.
