Pete,
Right now, the area has all the vitality it needs. Houses are selling over ask and sight unseen. Tourism is crazy, traffic getting that way, and, development and building backed up 6 months to a year. The “Covid bump” is in full swing.
As far as “my story” - my hope is to be sitting on Nathan’s porch telling it. Or maybe at Rue Cler, if the winds of fortune shift.
Best, jim

Maybe you can finally come to Portugal once the craziness subsides.

Good call, Jim, as usual.

Its being so quaffable earned it the right to be my token gift wine this year to numerous people.

Had it once again last night and it worked nicely with fried crawfish on (leftover) squash/Brussel sprouts salad.

Another bottling in the same category and quality-price-ratio as the Vajra is the Azienda Agricola Le Ragnaie Rosso di Montalcino '14. Right out of the bottle it is a bit spritzy which the sommelier and I felt would fade away...and indeed it did leaving a lovely, smooth, delicious wine (baby Brunello di Montalcino?) that worked well with fried shrimp, sweet potato fries, and Caesar salad. What a nice find.
