Where do y'all like to eat in new orleans?

agree on Herbsaint. They had a great South African SB on the list. But does no one go to Upperline anymore?

    '95 Laurel Glen

I bought a few of these a while ago and they were all sublime with plenty in the tank. I recently tried a 2009 and was disappointed. I think David Ramey consulted on this vintage. Not bad but tastes like a generic CA cab. Maybe it will improve, maybe not.

    Ship wine to Maryland?

I have wine delivered to me in Maryland by both UPS and Fedex with no issues. Most of my retailers will ship either there or Delaware or both. Wine Library is the only one I recall that won't ship to either state.

    Dc rec needed

I liked Il Pizzico recently. We sat at the bar and let Enzo, owner, plan our meal. Very pleasant evening.

    Pretenders/Pretenders

seen most of the different versions of the Pretenders including the original; along with Chrissie, Martin Chambers on percussion is the glue that drives the band. After a mesmerizing show at UVA in the 80s (Iggy Pop opened), I spoke with CH briefly, she trashed her performance. A great artist, IMO.

Cory Cartwright in the NY Times!

I, too, rue the dominance of merlot these days in Bordeaux. I grew up in a Bordeaux drinking household and get together with a group of Bordeaux lovers on occasion. That said, I seem to be drinking more Southern Rhones these days in terms of French wines though champagne is always in the cellar...
