TN: 2009 Perraud Cotes de la Molieres Beaujolais Villages

Coming from the guy with black as the background color of his blog! Kidding aside, I just hope they have enough acidity - I've only tasted a few and they're all very rich, so one wonders.

Good question, I chucked the bottle last night....

I still worry a bit about the 09 bojos - hoping they're fresh enough with the whole ripeness deal going on.

TN: 2009 Perraud Cotes de la Molieres Beaujolais Villages

Anyone try the Moulin a Vent? I saw Chambers has it for $20ish.

TN: 2009 Perraud Cotes de la Molieres Beaujolais Villages

Decanted as the wine wasn't fined or filtered, there was a bunch of sludge at the bottom of the bottle. Dark as I can ever recall seeing beaujolais. The aromatics are to die for: pepper-laced raspberry, dried meats and some violets. It smells like freshly crushed fruit. The palate is sappy and...

Freedom is a very fine read.

Finding the corrections tough to get through - I'm only 35 pages in but it's so bleak and depressing. There were more run-on sentences in the first chapter than 95+ point scores from Dr. Big J in the latest WA* - and that's a LOT. *I don't subscribe, but I can only imagine.

How to tell vintage of Larmandier-Bernier's Terre de Vertus?

Prior to posting my query here I also emailed L-B with my question, Sophie was kind enough to reply, confirming everything mentioned above. If it is not too old, you can find a code on the glass at the bottom of the bottle, not on the label. It says : LTDV X YZ where X is the vintage, Y the...

How to tell vintage of Larmandier-Bernier's Terre de Vertus?

Sharon - thx. Robert - I've read in a couple places, Edwards latest Champagne tome being one, that it's not always a single vintage, but usually is. I think all of the Thiese catalogs are gonzo from the web now.

Nicolas - thanks for the post, brown dirt. :)

How to tell vintage of Larmandier-Bernier's Terre de Vertus?

In reading notes on L-B's TdV, I understand it's essentially a single vineyard vintage wine that they market as a NV. How does one go about telling the vintage, any special code on the bottle or cork?

    Tasting Notes

Here's a classic tasting note we can all appreciate (from CT): 2003 Smith Haut Lafite: Is this Bordeaux? Ripe berry nose gives way to a full-bodied, sweet, ripe new-world red with little to no noticeable tannins. Just a touch of earth buried under the gobs of fruit. Good, but if I wanted this...

    Boston Heredia dinner TNs

So I take it you loved it? :P None of the wines (other than the 81 mustard) had any oppressive odors/stank, though we didn't have the offending 78 Tondonia...
