There is no plan B. Why even bother to cross it into the box with Arshavin as your striker? Seriously. Chelsea has 9 men on the pitch 6'+ (Malouda and Cole are the only ones under).

Why don't we have a big/strong centerback to pair with Gallas or Vermaelen rather than have 2 copies of the same player (athletic, ball playing for sure, but 5'10" at best).
We discussed these things over email during the transfer window and Chelsea didn't need to get out of first gear to beat us. Those were two fine goals though.
I've thought from the beginning that the league was Chelsea's to lose. Frankly, I'm surprised that it is even close.
We need to hold on to 3rd and hope for 2nd.

The ManU game was a serious error from Almunia and then we had to press the game and we are spectacularly vulnerable to a counter attack (and Rooney's goal was sublime, to take that with such ease at full speed). I was surprised how many times you guys kept taking corners trying to feed it into the box. Finally near the end, they started with the short corners. I agree that I don't know why it took so long to bring Bendtner on (though I'm happy about it) because he sure did bring a new vigor to the attack.originally posted by VLM:

Rooney's goal was spectacular.
The similarity, to me, was the Arsenal offensive strategy and Chelsea's willingness to let Arsenal play their short-passing/ball control game with the hope of the quick strike counter-attack and with some confidence that Arsenal ultimately won't convert possession into many goals.
Against ManU and Chelsea, Arsenal, to use baseball terms, looks like a team playing small ball against teams with players who can hit the three run homer. Maybe that's just another way of saying Arsenal doesn't have a Drogba or Rooney.

If someone offers enough money and he wants to leave, he'll leave, but read Gabriele Marcotti's piece. I still agree with the basic point that he doesn't go to Barca to sit on the bench, which is what he would do unless Xavi get's his knee totally torn up or something.

Porto has injury problems of their own. I think we should be OK. They won't attack with pace, so I hope Sol will do fine.
No.4 will create something at some point. Someone else will need to step up and help. My money is on Rosicky.
