Indeed. My thought exactly.

And the Porto game? I have been doing my best to try to forget that one.

The Porto game would be the equivalent of a corked bottle, no ?

I just happened to be watching the second half of the everton spurs game on dec 6th, it really did look like they were going to turn around after that

That Porto game was so stunningly bad I almost didn't think it was real. I thought Sol did pretty well. He isn't as skillful as Gallas or Vermaelen, and he didn't seem to gel with Vermaelen, but he's strong and deliberate. We need the row Z clearance every now and then and I don't think it is in Gallas' or Vermaelen's nature.

Everton just has a scary look to them. Honestly, I can see them winning out. Less of a chance now without Fellani (what a shame after the season he's having, guess those English commentators can STFU abotu how he should have been red carded, he got his anle shredded). How awesome is it to see Donovan doing so well? This bodes really well for the World Cup.

I'd love to see them pip Spuds and City for 4th. Go Team America!

can hardly expect anything entertaining - chelsea will probably keep it cool and try to win it back home

But you never know. I'm DVRing to watch later.

It only takes a couple of seconds for Drogba or one crazy strike from Sneijder to change the match. An early goal makes all the difference.

Quite right.

But I've seen the way Inter played Barca this year, and the way Chelsea played Barca last year, so I am applying the transitive property.

I hope I'm slow at work today so I can watch it live. The game'll probably start out slow enough, but if there is that early goal it should get fairly lively. What I'm worried most about is Cech. Never know whether he's going to be on it or not. Actually what I'm most worried about, is the fucking set pieces. Can we protect against the fucking set pieces for once and not look like a bunch of tired pub leaguers?!?

Except neither of them is Barca.

I think you listen to English commentators too much.

Aren't teams in the top level supposed to score on set pieces every now and then? Is every set piece goal a defensive failure or could it be, you know maybe, a well taken set piece?

I'm just sick of hearing week after week how a weakness is set pieces for this that or the other team. Kinda dumb, IMO. Especially in the EPL there is a level of size and athleticism that if you have a chance at a free cross and 20 guys in the box, chances are that all hell can break loose.

Sure Cech has flapped at a few, not every keeper is Buffon.

Still, I'd like to see Inter win.

It'd be one thing if it were truly every now and then. But I think I saw the number at 15 set piece goals conceded. And top level? Hull? Granted, Hunt is scrappy, but still...

Still, I'd like to see Inter win.
Boo.

UCLSecond leg predictions are in order. Soon.

We still have 2 weeks right?

I'm waiting to see if Bendtner goes on a scoring run.

Bendtner is not going to help Real deal with Lyon. That is the game I am least sure about.

Real lost 0-1. I think they'll be fine.

Chelsea - Inter is the real deliciousness.

I think we can manage a 1-0 win (or more likely, 3-1).

Can't wait to watch Chelsea fuck up Man Shitty in HD tomorrow AM.

Does anyone else want to smash their TV when they see the little "live in HD" in the corner of a non-HD broadcast on FSC. I just want to kill those motherfuckers.

I thought it was just me. Can't stand it. Though, I prefer FSC to Setanta. I think you can get a better looking picture using rabbit ears on an old analog set. Or at least you could... back in analog broadcast days.

Chelsea sure fucked up Man City.

Supposedly FIOS will have Fox in HD in March, supposedly

Even using a smaller set is no good.

I just want Pranjic off the bench. Before it's too late.

Yes.

i thought my head was going to explode when the first Canada - US hockey game was in non-hi def here.

Hey, check it out, now that Crouch had been called up, they can start Roman without fear. Jeez...

So, no Cesc this week. Well, that sucks. Arshavin to play a true #10 instead, finally ?
