EPL Season

Arshavin looked pretty dreadful over the weekend.

Wow, Arshavin was bad, as was Theo.

I don't really know what to say except that I feel as bad as I can ever remember feeling about the Gunners, but I've only been around for the Wenger years.

It's a shame, because Miguel didn't look half bad, Vermaelen looked great, and Frimpong had m,oments where he looked like a mini-Essien (except Essien has never been such a dumb player, has he?)

This is shaping up to be a very rough season.

Let me get this straight. We now have to deal with Joey Barton two more times, as opposed to just once more ? Isn't there some kind of a "cup tied" equivalent rule for this ?

Wow, I'm sorry. What has happened to that team in just six months? It's sad to see.

It's not the end of the world, but it could be a long season.

A lot of the goals were fantastic today, especially Young's and Rooney's first two.

Wenger strikes me as a fundamentally decent man who's done a lot for football in general and Arsenal in particular, so it feels wrong and sad that the team is imploding the way it is. And what a contrast with Samir Nasri's debut for Man City.

ah, so you've seen group "A" in champions league draw, finally

Yes, GoD contender if ever there was. D and E could afford some drama, too, but the rest look to be fairly straightforward draws.

for me it's not so much a group of death, but rather a group of we-closed-transfer-business-too-early-we-better-reconsider-before-wednesday

Vermaelen and Wilshire being out for months is a huge problem. Now I am really surprised not to see Cahill over here, given Vermaelen news, which was obviously not news to Wenger.

Not the news I was hoping for this morning. Our best CB since Sol in his prime and he can't stay fit. Terrible.

i was thinking the other day the wegner inherited the only decent defense he ever had. i dunno if this is right, or just an improvement on banging my head against the wall, but it's a thought...
