EPL Season

Liverpool would face relegation if they sold Suarez. Make no mistake, he creates so much space for himself and others it's surreal to watch. Defenders are genuinely frightened of him.
I'd be too, with those teeth of his.

I still maintain Uruguay is going to meet and defeat Argentina in the World Cup, because Suarez is going to bite one of them in the ass and cause an own goal. Probably de Michelis.

Yep, you don't let guys like Aguero and Suarez smell the ball these days.

My point is, it's been done.

Aguero's doing a great job of limiting his ball sniffs all on his own.

That's going well!

Didn't build up through midfield, went around or over it. Oh well. Kudos to Liverpool who were deadly. That strike from Saurez deserved a goal.

Wilshere was terrible, as was Ozil.

I actually don't know which of the two teams you are talking about.

Really? Arsenal built through midfield to not score. Liverpool bypassed midfield to score.

Sure. Makes sense.

But this morning I actually made myself watch most of the first half again, in the interest of science. Conclusion - as much as I like to pontificate about wrong strategies, wrong selections and pre-match miscalculations, there were too many half-comatose yellow shirts on the field to start theorizing.

Several players chose the same day to daydream and they got punished. I was willing Skrtel for the hattrick, but it was not to be.

At least you have Man U to beat up in midweek.

As much as I think Rodger sis a charlatan and a fraud, I have to admit that everything he did worked. When a back 3 works, it is a huge advantage (as Pep showed years ago). It helps to have Saurez.

you mean Wenger forgot to watch a tape of Pep's loss to Red Bulls Salzburg last month (0-3), while playing a back three?

Pep's back 3 was Puyols and Piqué with Busquets sliding back. Neither fullback ever really played defense.

I haven't watched enough Bayern this year to see if he has kept that tactical formation with the new personnel.

Speaking of Bayern, I sure hope Arsenal go after Kroos in the Summer. I've always really liked his game and I think Wenger could really help him get to the next level.

Where is he going to put another attacking midfielder? He can't play deep, unless some kind of a transformation takes place. He can rotate nicely during the game, but that's a different story.

Problem with Kroos is, while I expect him to be available in the summer, it's only going to be on account of salary. He won't go for less than 140, and he can probably resign for 115 where he is now.
