Is there a theme? Are people still reading this? Will there be a crew from NY on a specific PATH train (time?) that I should try to meet up with? Inquiring minds need to know.

I've got a little of everything at home now: French, Italian, Spanish. As the visitor, got any prefs?originally posted by Jonathan Loesberg:

I was asking about theme, more or less to determine what I should bring. In deference to Jay, I will avoid Southern Rhones. I don't think I have a single Spanish wine. Lots of kinds of French, though.

I have a tooth extraction the day before (seriously). Had hoped to have that happen earlier this week. Will discuss with doc when visit.

My current plans are to bring a Musar, a Castellare Chianti and a Tondonia Rosado. Try and make a theme of that why don't you?
We could do an SFJoe redneck theme--missing teeth and narcotics?originally posted by Jeff Grossman:

all of the following dishes are good and wine friendly with a variety of wines:
crab cake
fried chicken
lamb pot pie (a lamb shank with a round of puff pastry)
boneless beef rib
avoid the pork ribs (hot and sweet), chicken with dumplings (delicious but spicy)
I usually find the fish selections underwhelming.
Salads are all very good. I also like the beer battered chicken wings.
Most of the sides disappoint though the sauteed spinach is a perfectly acceptable rendition.
Scroll up a bit. Basically, no one offered an opinion so Jay plunked for something convenient to him (as well as inexpensive and good).originally posted by Rahsaan:
How did we end up on this path.
