Vincent Wine Co.

Florida Jim

Florida Jim
It’s an all Vince night.

With crackers and cheese;
2019 Chardonnay, Royer Vineyard: while showing young, this wine has that remarkable ozone presence - like standing next to a fountain - with citrus and stone fruit, depth and simply stunning focus. Balanced, long and memorable.
This is the very best domestic white wine I’ve tasted and will stand with any Corton Charlemagne. 12.4 abv.

With smoked pork with faro with chicories:
2021 Pinot Noir, Ribbon Ridge: soulful, deep, identifiably Ribbon Ridge and, while also showing young, fully open - just firm. Also balanced and long with lots of upside. 12.5 abv.

If you are not drinking Vincent wines, I would love to hear why.
Best, Jim

Very strong notes. You make a convincing case!

Well there's a lot of wine in the world, and not enough time. But, in this case, I don't think I see these wines at retail? Is it mailing list only?

While not mailing list only, mailing list is the best way to get them.
Twice a year he does a pre-release and the wines are discounted to retail. Also, if you buy a case whether solid or mixed, shipping is free.
Just put your name on the mailing list; easy, peasy,

IMO, pricing is remarkably reasonable, free shipping is hard to beat and quality, especially the single vineyard bottlings is anywhere from excellent to world class.
Worth a look.

1) I'm almost 69. I don't need or want to get on any more lists.
2) Bottling for ace winemakers Ed Kurtzman, Shalini Sekhar, and Rob Bergstrom. The first two consult for other labels so I get paid in their own wines as well as the wineries they consult for. 3 bottling days this month means 3 cases.

FWIW, day 2 with the chard and the ozone freshness is still there but some very suave French oak makes an appearance; too much for Diane, almost too much for me.

If anyone has any interest, I have a fair amount of Vincent going back to 2015. Perhaps a Jeeb in San Francisco this summer? Jim - can I lure you back out?

Brad

Brad,
That sounds pretty nice. Late August and early September we are out of the country and October is color season in the mountains but I sure like the idea.
