The fair weather here has its dark side. We're on track for the driest January on record, and the past two years have been unusually dry. Some water districts are already on water rationing, and unless things change dramatically over the next 2-3 months, I think it'll be universal out here by the middle of the year. I still remember without pleasure 1977, when we had to take a bucket into the shower to capture the runoff for reuse, and showers consisted of getting wet, turning off the water, soaping up, and then a final rinse. And those icky, unflushed toilets.
