This is going to be one of those traps where you lure the unsuspecting desperate winegeek somewhere, then arrest him for his ninety-three outstanding parking tickets, or sell him off for white slavery or bush meat, isn't it?

What about if you're partially employed, like say an underpaid literature professor on sabbatical halfpay and you're neither Bueker nor Perry? Just asking hypothetically of course.

Well, I do go on sabbatical in May. I'm not sure if that counts as part time. I work full time, I just get paid only half as much.
 
Joe, please take your vendetta with Joe, the jet, Perry (Fullback for the 49ers, Hall of Famer) to e-mail and leave the rest of us alone.

Why not just ignore my postings if they annoy you. Wouldn't Usul have done so?

As other members of the board will recall, Usul the Fremen word, meaning "The base of the pillar," was the name given to Paul Atreides upon his joining the Fremen.

Joe is giving the bush meat away to his restaurant clients with every 5 case purchase of any Loire red. Times are tough in the on-premise channel.

Actually, they are one and the same.

Usul is his secret sietch name. Muad'Dib (meaning wise in the says of the desert) is how he is known outside the tribe.
 
Herbert seemed to like Arabic. Usul = root; 'db = the root (ha ha) for all wisdom related words, including mu'addib (where the mu- prefix is just a nominalising prefix). Dune seems to have enormous amounts of Arab and Islamic ideas and terminology.

What about us underemployed? My two part time jobs have both just reduced my hours. And here I thought that selling used books and cheap wine would be good business in a depression...

Next time, take a hint from Gedren trying to master the Talisman and pass. Of course, if you decide to march on like Old B.O.B., learn the Chocobo Rush to defeat Sark and the MCP program, but avoid Overdog in the Forbidden Zone as if he were Lord Humongous.
