I've been in touch with Thor's family and they asked me to post that his autopsy report revealed that he had a heart attack due to cardiovascular disease. The medical examiner said it would have been quick and he most likely did not suffer.
If anyone is close to Philadelphia area there will eventually be a memorial service. I will post the details when I know about them.
