a food you think you can't stomach (say, broccoli) and really enjoying it (wow, that's almost as good as bacon)

You prefer bacon to broccoli!

Wow.

Surely you know that this preference is true for most people. Some blame it on natural selection, others on taste.

Joe, bring another bottle this year!

If I can make it happen without getting laid off, you can count on it.

Best,
Joe

p.s. is there a section for those who like broccoli with bacon and cheese?

Are we still recreating content from old forums? Is this where Yixin asks Rovani to trade 1997 for 1993?

I think Yaniger started it. I still have some Ponsot '97s which I'll be happy to trade for the '93s from the same domaine.

The 2006 is fabulous.
Best, Jim

Yep.

And the 2002 is spectacular. And the 2004 is wonderful. And the 2007 is great. (Please feel free to re-arrange the descriptors as you see fit.) I haven't had a 2005.

how 'bout the '01?

I've spoken with some people who were there and had the wine on other occasions and they also agree that it was a very atypical bottle but that the one that night was as described. Back to recreating content IIRC a later reply had a reference to a shepherdess' menses.

I do know that after that note was posted the wine sold out with astounding rapidity (at least I couldn't find any).
