My trip to the Marche Aux Vins and Burgundy

They save fine. They open fine. But, they're both blank when they are done opening. I, too, am on a Mac. Maybe I need the same plug-in that Thor needs. It doesn't give me an error though.

Hmmm... I just downloaded and opened both files using Firefox on a Mac. Both files opened up fine in their respective applications. One thing I noted in the Firefox dialogue: it had a "File Type" menu that was set to JPEG and which I changed to "All Types." I have no idea if there is any difference in outcome, but that might be something to look at.

I'll have to try that at some point. But, the newly uploaded pdf's work fine. Just have to option-click and re-name on the desktop.

Looks like there's a lot to read. Thanks Jeff for writing this up and for doing the pdf thing.

Texier makes Ch9?

What does the 'a la mode' comment in regards to Cote Rotie mean?
Aren't Jasmin and Gallet still honest producers?

Yes.

I took that to mean rather cleaner, softer, sweeter, and altogether easier to drink young -- than in the old days.

It wasn't my opinion so I can't really answer, but I would guess that they are certainly honest... just not making wine like they did in the 1950s.

A flyer arrived today offering '06 Delas wines. I note the '06 "Boucher" for sale for $60 (the '07 was 29 at the event) and the '06 "Tourette" for sale for $55 (29 at the event).

Seems like a lot but so are plane tickets, hotel rooms, rental cars....

I have a newfound appreciation for the prices of some retailers.
