Sandi and I had an excellent time. Her first time at this kind of tasting. She totally dug the event and the wines.
I didn't take notes and there was no tasting sheet so what I liked comes from my feeble memory. I'm sure I'm missing a few.
Rosso and Chianti Classico, Montesecondo
Moscato d'Asti, Bera
Chinato and an awesome apperativo from Vergano. He took the latter, mixed with a bit of sparkling water and a twist of orange over ice. I would've drunk a bottle's worth of that recipe if it had been around a couple of days before when it was in the 90s.
Who was the Italian producer standing next to Bera? Really enjoyed those wines.
07 Vouvray and sparkling Vouvray, Pinon
All the wines (one sparkler, one white, two reds) from Peillot
07, 05 and 02 Muscadet, Luneau-Papin. The 05 was white wine of the night for me.
06 Morgon (both Cote du Py and Javernieres), Desvignes - amazing Beaujolais
Breezeme Blanc (100% Roussanne), St-Gervais (100% Grenache), 06 Chateauneuf from Texier
L'Effraie and Les Roziers from Belliviere
Beaujolais Blanc, Brun (I thought the '08 Ancien was good, but not great. Will probably want to revisit)
