The red glass and completely new postsI have noticed: when I click on a red glass next to a post that I have never seen before, it always scrolls me to the first reply (if there is one), not to the initial post itself. Can this be fixed? (Or, at least, find a way to indicate a completely new thread 'since last visit' on the front page?)

Thank you.

Be careful, Jeff. I made the same complaint and was given a two-day timeout by the Politburo.

Thank you.
I'm ready for my timeout now.

I'd also like to vote against post count. Tiresome, petty.

With both Safari 3.1.2 and a Linux version of Firefox (can't check version number right now) I've noticed an odd behavior when I click on the red glass for posts with embedded images: I end up at a point in the post well above the first new post. I haven't actually measured it, but it looks like the image sizes are not accounted for in determining where the displayed message starts. May well be a browser issue, but thought I'd mention it.

Fixed. Thanks.

I'm starting to dislike Xinha. It won't do bulleted lists (or has the Politburo decided that these are too Western?). It keeps using instead of . It puts
where a simple space would do. I won't even begin to try to figure out when it uses " " and when it uses " ".

This frame is 910 pixels wide. Some older browser-monitor combinations (I assume it's the browsers) only fit 760 pixels. I sometimes use one of those, so I'll check to see if this site requires sideways scrolling, which would be cumbersome. On the other hand, if it was supposed to be easy ... it wouldn't be what it is.

Ditto this. I'm one of those luddites who needs to continually shuttle between
scrolls to make the posts readable. Perhaps that's one reason I don't care for the new board as much as the old therapist couch. Oh yeah, the colours too: Politics may be shades of black and white (or grey and piss), but wine should bring out de Skittles RAINBOW!

Beef over.

Does the RSS feed here actually work for you guys? I have it bookmarked (using Firefox live bookmarks) on two different machines, both Macs. On one the feed always fails to load for some reason. On the other, the feed loads correctly. But when you click on a post/link, you are taken to the home page instead of to that post.

Not for me.

Sorry, should have narrowed it down. I get: "Information is temporarily unavailable," permanently so far.

I get the homepage each time I click on a new topic in my rss reader (feed sidebar 3.1 running on FF3.01 on WinXP) instead of going to the topic. However, when I click on a topic from the homepage my rss reader link takes me to, then I get an error message. If I click on the "Wine Disorder" graphic at the top of the page, I then get taken to a WD homepage from which I can access the new threads.

Same thing happens if I try the FF live bookmark for Wine Disorder. I can see the new topic titles, but again get the phantom WD homepage instead of going right to the topics.

Cheers,

Dave
