2002 Tissot La Mailloche

I hope it was enjoyable enough to soften the memory of the two Barbaresco that came afterward - one of which was corked, the other cooked.

the early 2000's was good for the tissots, but the more i taste the current vintages, the less i like them...
i remember SFjoe telling me he thought tissot was one of the most talented vigneron in his opinion, and at the time, i was fine with the statement.
Not anymore thought, the reds have become plain bad and the whites more and more modern. Maybe the west coast importer is not bringing the best wines...

I agree. Tasting with him at the Renaissance 5 or 6 years ago (with Joe, prolly) was a revelation. Most recently, it was a severe disappointment. I'm not sure what happened in between, but it hasn't been good.

And if you weren't such a sissy, you could have tasted the awful right beside me.

The Cremant is still great, or was the last time I had some. But I agree more generally with g and vlm.

the "indigenes" cremant is great, the regular one is a little generic....

The whites have become so oaky.

I am getting into Bornard these days. Not to mention Domaine de la Pinte. Their Terres Bleues is gorgeous savagnin.
