CWD: The End Is Near

Interesting. Is everyone else seeing windmills?
There is no clickable link and I see no cellar.
But I agree with the marriage comment.

Well, for one, I have experienced shrinkage (i.e. no growth) and mightily so, for the first time in 8 years. It makes me worry about sustainability.

Bob Dole was on TV a few years ago with some good ideas on this; repeatedly, if memory serves.

I think I speak for all the newbies and lurkers when I say I don't have the least idea what this thread's about.

"Many of the posters on Wine Disorder have spent years traipsing around the internet together, and yes, we're aware that there can sometimes be an appearance of clubbiness. Unfortunately, that's going to happen in any ingrown, insular community of like-minded zealots. Happily for the newcomer, our familiarity with one another has bred a good amount of contempt, so fresh meat for the grinder is always welcome. Truthfully, what most of us do is just pretend to understand all the in-jokes. Sincerity is the key: once you can fake that, you're in like Flynn."

I'm also confused. You have some nice wine. You have been married for approximately one year. You are young and probably hope to live another 40-50 years. Your cellar will go through many up and down phases. Aside from the current prices of some of those specific wines, where's the panic?

Eh.

I'm back and forth.

Wine is made to be drunk, so it can't be a bad thing to drink it. I just don't think I'm going to have a period of growth for quite a while.

Out of the lurk and into the cellar...I feel dirty snooping about your cellar, Joe.

Marriage can have bad effects on your cellar.

I suggest more champagne to keep the bride happy, and get rid of those Chave's and get more Lopez de Heredia, before it's too late!

You'll never look back.
