A Cellartracker question for the glorious Politburo

Just wondering if the Politburo has ever thought about contacting Eric LeVine at Cellartracker to see about partnering up with them to publish tasting notes from there to here? Just about every other notable wine board does so.

Do we want to be a notable wine bored?

Well, we are indeed notably bored, but if it's free, why not? A lot more folks are using Cellartracker these days to keep a record of their notes, so why not make it easy to be able to post notes/essays from there to here?

I'm rising to the bait Kane.

I've matured.

So, despite the fact that you have 303 notes posted on CT, which is probably more than you have here, you wouldn't want the ability to just push a button or two when you're typing something up on CT and have it post here?

No one would be forcing anyone to use it. I'm just saying it would be nice to have the ability since a lot of participants here type their notes up on CT.

Brad,
I must plead luddite here; I know of cellartracker and that people post notes there but what's this about posting from there to here? Could you explain, please?
Best, Jim

Brad, I use cellartracker and appreciate many of its features. But personally, this isn't one of them, based on how I've seen it integrated on several other boreds.

Really? How the fuck do you know that?

See, that's the kind of spooky shit I'm talking about.

Best if we don't.

If one types up tasting notes on CT, there's a way to have them post to various wine boards either in plain old tn style, or as a typical jeebus essay.

Here's a link as an example: Richard Jenning's notes on a Vieux Telegraph vertical.

Richard wrote his notes up in CT and then clicked a button that posted it to wineberserkers.

Because I clicked on you on CT and it said you have 303 notes posted, dumbass. Real rocket science.

But those types of notes (done in CellarTracker) seem abridged; and maybe that's just a result of the interface. I like that someone has to take the time to write up a note that is particular for WD. It makes the notes that people post here all the more unique.

I agree. If what we want are CT notes, we can go to CT and read them. What I look for here is something more... or less... or something.

That's just his writing style, I guess.

I just entered my notes from my recent Vivid Wines at Don's on CT just as they appeared here. I'd rather do it the other way around as it saves time.

Politburos aren't known for their openness. It represents the potential for the breakdown of benevolent control. As such I expect they heroically resist this incursion by usurpers.

I'm not sure how it's done (and the formatting/layout seems a bit off), but I've seen Richard (in the Orange Wine West notes) and a few others post their Cellartracker write-ups here as they originated in Cellartracker.
