It was really interesting drinking all the wines. My comment to Marc and Lee was that I liked all the "lesser" wines best - not really, but some of the wines that struck me most were the least expensive things there.
I loved the Pepiere muscadet. It was the first thing I tried. My immediate reaction was that it was maybe my favorite young Pepiere normale to date. I don't have years of experience, but it will be a case buy.
I also like the Pepiere rouge a lot. To me one of the more successful young drinking CF Loires.
I have professed my deep love for the Brun CdB, and I can confirm it still remains. Next year with natural cork!
Many vintages of Eric's Brezeme have just been too poopy for me, but the 07 is just delicious. For now or later. Primal stuff.
Eric's Janrode is crazy good. I have not had a lot of it but it is Serious Wine. Very pure and delicious.
We are into our 2nd case of this iteration of the Pinon petillant and it is the best I've had by far. As I've said before, akin to the non-dose, which I love.
The Tue Bouef P'tit Blanc knocked me out. We've all sung our odes to the CRB SB2, this was very much in the same vein but perhaps even slightly edgier and punkish.
The Baudry rose was delicious. I will buy some.
The 07 Baudry Grezeaux is very nice. The Grezeaux is the working man's cellar wine. I will be buying some of this too.
The Radikons were my first and they are fantastic wines. I had them at the end so I was a bit hazy. But they made an impression.
I promise to be a better WineDisorderist from here on out, really. Deleted! Wow.

Marc, the Maule "Pico" was not poured. He was part of the Barbacco contingent and only one wine from each producer was poured at that venue. In his case, it was the '08 Rosso Masieri.

That bottling is a bit of a hazy memory, but yes is the answer, I think. Somehow my first sip of this just took me to a different place than I'd remembered before. I have to admit, though, that I think this bottling is a bit more creamy and accessible, maybe that's why I like it. Maybe not the version for the hard core.

I tried the 04 Oslavje and the Ribolla. I missed the Merlot and one other.
The Oslavje was earthy, a little oxidized with nuts and apple cider smells, fresh acidity but big boned, with quite a lot of tannin and a fair amount of alcohol. It cried for food and my impression was this wasn't something to judge at a swirl, taste, spit and repeat deal. It was really hard to get my mind around it, and not an easy, fun wine by any means.
The Ribolla had more a slightly more conventional citrus lemony nose, but earthy weird slightly off flavors in the mouth, my wife mentioned urea! It was also fairly tannic.
I found the Oslavje to be the least interesting of the four. The Ribolla was a nice wine, but yes a little funky. The Jakot was better even than the Ribolla. I don't have a good vocabulary to describe them, other than rich and unctuous yet with surprising acidity. They remind me a little of dried apricots. The merlot was very interesting as well. I would have loved to try that in a different context.
I agree with most of the notes so far. I wasn't as high on the Tue-Boeuf Touraine as were Marc and BJ, but it was good. The 2009 Gamay La Butte was absolutely top-notch, if a bit on the grapey side. It may have been a barrel sample; I'm sure it will sort itself out in a few months in any event.
The Occhipinto Frappato was lovely as advertised, but where's the love for the Nero? Beautiful deep wine (2007 on show).

I've opened several bottles of this and that description doesn't jibe at all with my experience. I'd be suspicious of that bottle. Like the Frappato, it has laser focus on the nose. Bright, floral, fruity - these are the dominant characteristics I've experienced over the last several months.
