CWD: [For VLM] '02 Huet LHL demi-sec

Opened tonight for a Mother's Day wine to accompany the first wild-caught Alaskan salmon of the season and sauteed morels. The wine was a deep golden color, but no hint of oxidation even to my hypersensitive wife, fresh, abounding with fruit, clean and balanced. A truly great match with the salmon, which had received a light applewood smoking on the grill. As with SFJoe's Bourg, no hint of sewage, cleaning products or other unwanted odors.

Relievedly yours,
Mark Lipton

Thanks. I had a really good bottle of this not too long ago.

There was nada oxidation in mine, either, about a month ago, nor would I expect it (going back to 1985, never really had a Huet with an oxidative problem). Have there been problems with this vineyard/year?

Not that I know of. Just mentioning it due to the concern raised on this bored about off bottles of this wine.
