jay, where did you find more of that trimbach?

Thor, thanks for the recipe but I'm not the host - just taking wine.

Crush - looks like they have one left in stock.

I'm really tempted to pull the trigger on their Vouette Saignee at the moment (also pre-arrival).

they have the hommage a jeanne - an outstanding wine but not the wine I was speaking of

2004 Philippe Faury, Côte-Rôtie:
13% alcohol, $40; absolutely textbook C-R nose with red fruit, olive and ash really, with this nose, it could be from nowhere else; similar in the mouth with good balance and nuance so utterly of its place as to be unmistakable. A good wine that demonstrates its terroir as well as any wine could.

Last night, thirteen years later, the 2003 of this was just as appealing.

...oddly, I enjoyed ours more. I don’t doubt my own bias in saying that but I’m also a little shocked that I should have such a clear example of C-R in front of me and still like another syrah more. Diane felt the same. I’ll have to think on that a bit.)

Well, you are of the New World. Or, as Bruce Springsteen sang, 'Booorn in the Uuu Ess Ayy'.

They sure do. Mine can change twice a night. But when the feed pops up, it looks new to me.
