The 3 vineyard sec wines are becoming available. My preference is 2002 vs. 2005 stylistically. Interested in the opinions of the masses!
Actually, they got the same deal from Huet that Sherry-Lehman gets from Duboeuf--a special cuvee representing the best of the wines.originally posted by slaton:
Maybe just the usual retailer hype, but it sounds like there will be a still later disgorgement of the '02 Petillant Reserve as well, as this release is being described as having been specially "disgorged just for this offer". And indeed, "the domaine will continue to age most of its remaining stock.."

thank you very much for your responses. One has only so many hepatocytes, and thus I may concentrate on the non-sec wines.

Take note of who gave you that advice. Brad has never been a fan of secs so if you've liked them in earlier vintages that's not a reason to avoid them now. I have not, myself, tried any '09s yet.
Hey let's be honest no wine gets you excited unless it's contains a shit load of rs. Sutter home has your picture on the the wall of their White Zin Hall of Fame in their tasting room.originally posted by Brad Kane:

So, let me get this straight. My usual objection to secs is that they're a little too severe for my tastes, which is what you and others like about them, yet I call the '09's puppy friendly, which should suggest to you that they're not remotely severe, yet you still think they'll be business as usual? Interesting.
Fwiw, despite their higher normal acidity, I like the '08 Secs because they also have higher rs than usual.
