Truchot PSA

Thought some folks here might want to know that there is some Truchot at Chambers Street at fair prices. Given how hard it is to find these wines, they probably won't last long.

I will give you that "fair" is relative, but those are pricey in my world.

My thoughts exactly. Especially when I think of what some folks paid for 04 (for example) on release. But this obviously reflects current market value. Chambers is usually pretty fair.

There were some bottles under $100 (such as 2002 Clos Sorbes), but they're gone. Compared to most pricing on Truchot, these prices are reasonable. I agree, though, that "reasonable" doesn't mean "inexpensive."

also raising the price is the fact that these wines are not produced anymore. expensive yes, but i bit on some 06 so i could have that last vintage in the small collection of truchot i was lucky to put togethor over the few years i was able to get the wines.

i haven't got that auto-reply fom chambers after my purchase which usually means the wines may have over sold. hope i got what i ordered.

Yeah...I tried to get some 02/06 Sorbe early in the morning and just missed them.

I've found some of the village '04s to be pretty impacted by the green of the vintage...I've actually poured some of them down the drain -- crazy thought.

The others may be priced to market -- there is some CDLR, but I'm not going to pay that much for them :).

Yeah...I wish there were others like Truchot...just isn't the case in my experience.

'04 MSD VV was the most obvious.

Been through 3 (maybe 4) bottles, and all were delicious with zero green. The Blanchards is somewhat marked (though still drinkable).

I've not found green on truchot's 04s - but perhaps I'm not sensitive to it. Mark, you are a bit like the princess with the pea, I fear.
