On a PC, I select the International US keyboard. Makes accents very simple. You find this under any Windows installation in the control panel under region and language.

How lame.
Pete's sincerity has long been a source of embarrassement for us, your majesty. Shall we throw him in the dungeon, or is watching reruns of Leave it to Beaver punishment enough?
I just thought he was saying that the lack of circumflex was lame. That is not 100% Pete's fault.
I know there aren't many drinkers of Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Batard-Montrachet hereabouts, but still, don't it rankle? "A" with hat! "A" with hat!

Hot damn, I found the umlaut button! I'm going to open a new tube of airplane glue! Not only can I now properly document the German wines I enjoy, but my newfound keyboard dexterity opens up a whole new window into namechecking my favorite metal bands, gröups like Motörhead, Gravewürm, Hangöver, Ampütator, Pöizen Böizen, Peter Brötzmann (kinda jazz-metal thöugh) and the ironically-named band known as Ümlaut.
-Eden (Spinal Tap is the only metal band I now of with a name that doesn't work properly, because technically, the umlaut is supposed to be over the 'n' but the computer won't let you umlautize a consonant. Göddämn fäscïst cömpütër röölëz!!!)
