The Berkeley Farmer’s Market has changed dramatically over the last two or three weeks. Saturday I found strawberries, asparagus, sugar snap peas, snow peas, fava beans, green garlic and spring onions, and, arriving earlier than I have ever seen them, cherries! Stopped by Solano Cellars on a whim and picked up a bottle of Ameztoi Rubentis. Looks like risotto for Mother’s Day. Glad winter is over!
