TN: Foreau-a-thon! Twenty wines from Foreau.

OK, we opened the lone bottle of 99 Sec last night and, initially, it was not nearly so bad. Smelled of peaches and honey, like a duty-free Sauternes without botrytis. Nice citric acidity, with very light oxidation. Body was a bit deficient and the finish was clipped. Marcia complained about a smokiness that I didn't get. As it warmed, it became increasinlgy bitter. Then it convincingly enter damaged goods, or damaged vintage, territory.

I tried the 99 Sec a few times recently and liked it a lot. Definitely seemed ripe and with less defining acid on the tail end.

I get it, boatloads of disagreement is my punishment for agreeing with Brad.

Hey, being first is not always a good thing. Live & learn.
