NYC jeeb 7/7/11

It would be a shame as I live within short stumbling distance to the venue. So I ask, is there room for one more? Or consider me the first alternate.

All - We now have a 7:00 reservation and in honor of BJ no corkage. I would like to order something off the list.

Jason - By my count we have room for one more.

As for glassware it is standard restaurant fare so if you are very picky I would bring your own. I think we should be fine with their glasses.

Awesome, thanks for pushing the time back a bit. Does anyone know how long the IKEA ferry takes? It looks like there is one that leaves Pier 11 at 6:40.

Free for all is fine by me, but, like Kirk, I would be happy to receive some directional instruction. Left to my own devices, I would probably bring some combination of Vouvray, Burgs or N. Rhone Syrah.

The ferry is about 20 min. You have about a 4-5 block walk from the IKEA parking lot to the Good Fork.

It's times like this that I feel the need of emoticons.

Alas, I have no cute way to express the depths of my sorry at having to withdraw. My on call has shifted and while I'm no longer on call this weekend I am now on call for all of next week.

I hope you all have a wonderful time!

no Beaujolais and plenty of dramamine....

Just want to confirm that everyone is still in. Also by my count I think we still have room for 1 or 2 more.

Jeff - How come you aren't coming to a Brooklyn Jeeb?

In case anyone needs it the restaurant address is:

391 Van Brunt Street (between Van Dyke and Coffee)

Reservation is under my name.

I'm still in. Not sure about the ferry -- I could take the B61 for old time's sake. I'm thinking Riesling for sure and either some bubbles or something Alpine. Look forward to seeing everyone.

I hope they don't have the same on-board security rules for the ferry as for the airlines ....

I am currently still in and planning to get on the 6:40 IKEA ferry. There is a chance that I may have to cancel because of work, but I won't know for sure until tomorrow.
