Foillard Cote du Py '09

I found the Foillard CdP to be the most over the top of the producers I follow in 09 and haven't really enjoyed them that much. I am holding onto a couple with the hopes that it settles down a bit.

I'm not Jim, but I have had the 2010 Coudert Clos de la Roilette and the 2010 Lapierre Raisins Gaulois - both are terrific. I also really liked the 09 Foillard Cote du Py on release.

Thanks, I also have some Lapierre Morgon '10. I'll give that a try and wait some more for the Foillard.
I had a bottle of the '10 Lapierre the other week and loved it. Downed three quarters of it before I even blinked. Really snappy and cut through a fatty bit of steak with ease.

The '10 Lapierre Morgon is drinking beautifully. Lovely fruit purity in a light frame. Very easy to drink.

considering the range of opinions here on 09 beaujolais alone, this has to be the most civilized wine board in existence.
Either that, or the iron fist of the politburo.

If you're still posting here tomorrow, we'll know which of your options to pick.

A magnum of 2009 Lapierre Morgon (S) was certainly pleasant yesterday, with inviting aromatics, even though the palate showed candied notes.
