I know it's not de rigueur, but I don't care. I think it's a great tradition and a fun way to reflect on the year with friends and drink some fresh pure wine.
Cafe Campagne tonight - the new Foillard (who knew?) and the Chermette and a little glass of Drouhin. The Foillard was brett flawed and expensive. What's up with these Lynch Beaujolais producers - the Morgonians are starting to have issues across the board. The Chermette was delicious as always. The Drouhin was simple. Cafe Campagne continues to be a very enjoyable place serving up consistently great food at a reasonable price - it seems like we default there all the time. They had a lovely saussicon in brioche tonite that was really good.
The B-N party at Pichet is always a blast but we were just too laid back for that tonight. But I highly recommend it, if you can get in.
