I was looking through winebid and noticed that they have some bottles of 1985 Montevertine Il Sodaccio up for auction.
I don't think Montevertine produces the Il Sodaccio cuvee anymore. I looked at the label and it says it is 88% Sangiovese and 12% Caniolo and is classifed a "vino da tavola."
Anyone have any info on this wine? I'm not planning to bid (right now around $48, hint, hint), I'm just curious. I'm wondering why Montevertine no longer produces this wine.
