This flight was a bust. Some of you recall that was time when the winemaking paradigm for Zinfandel was to make it a "food friendly" wine. That turned out to be a bsd move. They were generally under-ripe and insipid.
Take that and age the wines for over 2 decades. One wine (1987) showed some depth of fruit and palate interest. It still wasn't as good as most of the wines from the first tasting. The others, at best, were tart and simple.
1988-95 on March 1. Geyserville seemed to regain its footing in the 90s so I'm expecting more out of these.
