It turns out the Post can turn out some decent wine coverage when they put their little minds to it.

Anybody in the service biz have a comment on the $400 tip? It's 200% on the pretax food bill, but a little light on the Petrus. What would you expect to see?

But at least we now know the answer to "What goes with Peeky Toe crab, Caesar salad, Dover sole, and salmon?"

anytime i have a 2-top that tips $400 bucks my night is made. the cup may not be full as it could be, but it's a long ways from half empty.

Decent may be overstating it when they call '82 Petrus "the world’s rarest and most expensive Bordeaux vintage."

The identification of Petrus as being made in St.-Emilion was what caught my eye, since it is from the Pomerol AOC. Maybe the writer had '47 Cheval Blanc on her mnd?
