Another unknown quality picked up on the cheap for evaluation. Too dark, borderline purple. Closed nose, exhaling some berries and generic cola. Good acidity & EQ, satisfying body & weight, but no hint of future complexity and not a shred of pinosity. If the coat door is abducted by aliens, this is what they would make. I know it's entry level stuff, but still.

ignore the publicist led piffle paffle. these are true vins de garde. based on what i've heard from wine waiters at several top spectator wine list award places, the 09 halinard will reach its apogee between 2064 - 2099.

I like piffle paffle, it is delicious on toast and makes a wonderful prop in the bedroom.
I will not ignore it.

I caraffed the sucker as indicated by the piffle paffle.

All is possible, but I can't imagine this summa nonpinosity metamorphosing into a swan.
