Excuse me, but I have to Dugat-Py

Oswaldo Costa

Oswaldo Costa
2009 Bernard Dugat-Py Bourgogne Cuvée Halinard 13,0%
Another unknown quality picked up on the cheap for evaluation. Too dark, borderline purple. Closed nose, exhaling some berries and generic cola. Good acidity & EQ, satisfying body & weight, but no hint of future complexity and not a shred of pinosity. If the coat door is abducted by aliens, this is what they would make. I know it's entry level stuff, but still.

The rep is not to drink Dugat-Py at anything less than 5 years. This cuvee is a vin de garde, as noted by Dugat-Py themselves.

ignore the publicist led piffle paffle. these are true vins de garde. based on what i've heard from wine waiters at several top spectator wine list award places, the 09 halinard will reach its apogee between 2064 - 2099.

we must defer. patience is all.

I like piffle paffle, it is delicious on toast and makes a wonderful prop in the bedroom.
I will not ignore it.
And at my age, patience ain't shit.
Best, Jim

I caraffed the sucker as indicated by the piffle paffle.

All is possible, but I can't imagine this summa nonpinosity metamorphosing into a swan.

Mr. Slicker, the alias sucks, but welcome back.

And Kistler.

They are really never ready.

readiness is nothing more than the half life where the decay constant is 1/points

Sine Quo Non is another wine that can age forever -- crankcase oil never degrades.

Well, actually, crankcase oil does degrade over time in many ways.
