My family has oldish Antioch (the town the vineyard is in) and Evangelho-proximate roots. My stepdad, and his father before him, owned and ran the local Ford dealership, which they started in 1956, using the proceeds of several gas stations his Dad had operated in Berkeley. Definitely old school CA - they were something of a go-to for Valley farmers buying their next F100 or 150 (back when those were actually tools rather than wannabe pseudo-military vehicles). My stepdad also was a big part of the Winter Island duck hunting lodge - pretty much his winters revolved around it. Winter Island was just upriver from the powerplant, and thus Evangelho. For his 80th I bought him a bunch of Evangelho from Mike Dashe, Bedrock, and Sandlands - fun stuff.
