Ganevat Plein Sud 2010

The most lovely bottle of Plein Sud I've been lucky enough to taste. CO2 spritz quickly disappears after a decant. All lovely dried flower petals, dirt and blood/iron on the nose. In the mouth it dances and spreads surprising light flavor everywhere. Mouthwatering acidity and raspberry and more iron. Really hard to stop drinking it. Even better with rancho gordo reboseros cooked with a couple dried chipotles. A trousseau to remember.
 
I don't recall getting it on the Pinot noir, but have had only 2 or 3 bottles ('08 & '10). J'en veux does not, in my experience.
 
Have the prices gone crazy outside of the US as well or is this just Kermit tax? This was in my inbox recently.

Remember when some Jura wines used to be considered smart-value alternatives to Burgundy? It looks as though now it's the other way 'round.
 
They have jumped in price, but the Mon Pere has always been pricey as it is a special bottle.

Sadly, Claude, you're almost correct, except for that ploussard and saignin have no home in Burgundy.

Not that I'm in the market for this, but wtf is the deal with not bottling it in a clavelin?! Just doesn't seem right.
 
I'd like the wines to be cheaper, of course, but if you are playing in the price range I would still take a $59 bottle of the Grands Teppes Chard, for example, over most $59 bottles of white burg I've seen around lately. The 2010 Grands Teppes Chard does need a good decant or some time in the cellar, however.

As for the spritz, in my experience there is significantly less of it in the Pinots and the J'En Veux, and much more in the Poulsard and Trousseau. It goes away though, if you are patient.
