I've been in town for my new gig. I stayed in the South End and I've eaten at Petit Robert Bistro, The Beehive, Tremont647, and Coda. I picked up the last bottle of Jean Bourdy 2006 Cotes du Jura Rouge at the neighborhood shop: blend of poulsard, trousseau, and pinot noir, acid zing has faded a bit, some VA, not earthy-dirty at all; by the 2nd day, it is all bright, white cherries and kirsch; good but no rush to repeat.
In re next week: There are going to be two huge conventions in town. The various convention centers are expecting 3,000 cancer doctors and 6,000 human geneticists. So, we may want to take extra precautions to secure space for dinner.
