What did you drink tonight?

Koehler-Ruprecht 2006 Pfalz Kallstadter Spätburgunder with roast chicken. This is terrific wine especially for 20/bottle. But, shhhhh, just keep this between us Disorderlies.

Zounds.

Were you at Racines NY last night? Saw that one on Delectable.

I had that good fortune.

Arnaud is putting a bunch of his own wine on the list, there will be some good stuff there.

Tonight it's the 2012 Métras Fleurie.

Had to pop it, don't want to open my Turleys lest they be suffering from travel shock.

Last week it was Overnoy, a bottle each with a red or white wax capsule.
The white alternated tasting like an orange wine or a sherry.
The red had all the characteristics that many casual wine drinkers dislike, the funky aromas on pop and pour (without access to a decanter) and the light color of a rose that leaves the tasters expectations betrayed.
I wasn't overwhelmed but the wines were good and the highlight of a relatively disappointing trip wine wise to London.
The Overnoy was bought from Whole Foods which had a good selection of wines, better than Harrod's, Harvey Nichols or Fortnum & Mason (but had decent halfs of Champagne).
