Chateau de Beaucastel Chateauneuf-du-Pape '03 -- Dark red, voluptuous lusty aromas, dark and red fruits, garrigue, complex spices, dense and concentrated, some rusticity in an elegant way, surprisingly fresh, integrating nicely, very well structured, powerful, no hurry with this trophy. [E]

Worked well with grilled lamb shoulder, roasted squash, cauliflower puree, then oatmeal cookie.

Richard, If I recall correctly, there was a nuance of garrigue that added a pleasing element of complexity. (As I make the assumption that yours was a serious question!)

I was just talking to a colleague about garrigue sex the other day. Turns out that randy garrigue are pretty rare. (My friend is a nightshade scholar, though, so he may be overgeneralizing from capiscum - which everyone knows are downright prudish.)

Whereas tomatoes, as everyone knows, are a libertine lot. Sexy solanaceae!
