It's important to note that this was a memorial organized by Joe's family and his business partners, rather than a remember-Joe jeebus which we should seriously consider putting together sooner than later. The disorderly community was a huge part of Joe's life and those of us included in this celebration were most honoured. No question there could have easily been twice as many of us, or even more, among those who have considered sharing a bottle with Joe one of the highlights of their disorderly career. It was only due to a private nature of this event, with significant space constraints, that we ended up sending a smaller, politburo-vetted group of delegates.
We have more wine. We will open it, smell it, drink it, and argue about how many points Joe would have given it.
