Well, two wines by Castello Banfi, a point-driven winery that I'd avoid; Batasiolo is a supermarket standard winery, not terrible, but hardly sought-after; La Spinetta is one of the kings of Piemontese super modern; and while I have no positive reference for Querciabella, it is a 2003. Hard to imagine a more undisorderly, unimaginative and (to me) uninviting selection. Whoever put this together deserves one of those Suckling 100 Point briefcases.
ps: the writeup of the second Banfi confusingly says that it is made by (Luigi?) Coppo; whatever, not interesting either.
