A bottle of the '96 Cote Blonde last night was really lovely. 12% abv. A bit quiet for the first 20 minutes, but then it opened into a beautiful, lean, but still vivid cote rote. Haunting nose and beautiful layers of maturing fruit and minerality. Gosh.
