And there is steep drop in The euro between then and now.

To my surprise my favorites were two babies: 2013 von Winning Pechstein and Kirchenstueck. They were so fine and fresh yet powerful and while in many ways having similar qualities also reflected the very different soils they come from. I don't remember trying any GG just months after release that I wanted to take the bottle and just gulp it down. They also came at the right time as a little later I lost completely track of what I was drinking. Not sure how you guys seem to be able to keep it all together.
I tasted those two von Winning wines at the Riesling Reborn seminar and was equally impressed. I will be buying them.
I just looked at the US prices. If you buy a case each you can actually fly into Frankfurt, visit the winery and have a nice meal and still save a few $$.

Better buy your wine before your ticket. If my memory is correct, von Winning's holding in Kirchenstück is extremely small, and add to that the small production for the vintage. My guess is that they no longer have a 12 bottles left for sale, or if they do, they wouldn't sell them all to a single customer.
