Wind Gap

Enjoying a 2011 James Berry Chardonnay right now. Very good, serious stuff. Reminds me in a way of a 1er Chassagne.

So nice that some good wines are coming out of California. It makes me happy.

Interesting; debated over ordering a Wind Gap with Georg yesterday at the Slanted Door. I have liked their pinot gris, but not as well their syrah and pinot noir. We went with Ryme Ribolla Gialla, which neither of us had tasted, and which was a kind of crazy perfect wine for 11am lunch on a pier overlooking a cold wind gap and eating uni and so forth.

But will keep in mind your appreciation of this.

2014 Wind Gap Rose from Nebbiolo was nice BTG at the lovely Renata in PDX on Saturday. not going to change any lives, but nice balance and complexity. and it tasted good.
