Try real maple syrup for the persistent cold. A teaspoon or two a few times a day. Let it linger in your throat. Worked for me.

This should be a requirement for WD.

British actors are trained to do dialects and accents. Even a journeyman actor can do an acceptable American accent. The reverse just isn't the case. Only Americans with a natural ear for doing accents can do English accents.
I don't know about that -- David Tennant's American accent in Gracepoint was pretty bad.
Laurie, Lewis, and Fassbender have great ears for accents, but there are not too many other British/Irish actors that can do accents at that level. (And no one is as good as Peter Sellers was)

I'll try again: Black Mirror!
BBC series, stand-alone episode format like the Twilight Zone, streaming on Netflix.* Some of the best sci-fi ever put on TV, or anywhere else. Just brilliant. Because of word-of-mouth success Netflix has picked it up and will produce new episodes.
* The special "White Christmas" episode, which is devastatingly great, is not on Netflix but a version with Spanish subtitles is on YouTube.

Just finished Justified. On my knees.
Listening to this interview with Walton Goggins, but let me rant (perhaps not for the first time): Terry Gross is awful. He's great, though.

David Lindley was living in Claremont while I was a student there. He'd perform solo sometimes and at other times with El Rayo X. Fun times.
