Just stood up 1966 Brane-Cantenac Margaux, 2000 Chateau Carbonnieux Graves Blanc and 2011 Olga Raffault Les Picasses Chinon which probably didn't need too be set on end but hey, as long as we're standing up wine in the cellar.
While the wines are settling a leg of lamb is thawing to roast and serve with the reds but I'm not sure where the menu is headed for the Bordeaux Blanc--might just be a simple aged goat cheese.
All this Downton-esque pre-planning got me thinking about wine geekery and how enjoyable it really is to make a fuss over this stuff every now and then. So what's on your agenda wine wise this week? What's in the cellar that you're really excited about?
