Perhaps no going back, for obvious and less obvious reasons. But I think we all need to make a concerted effort to raise the game.

You miss all that groveling for Coad to come back? Everyone was suffering from Coad Dependency.
 
In the old days there would have been a link to a TGJP dinner posted around this time and lots of photos of the wines and food. Instead a friend and I had dinner with Marie-S and many tears were shed. I miss the old days too.

So will the prong rating system return?

I don't know what the problem is, we're still drinking 100 point wine every night at chez davidson. I will admit, winemaking techniques have improved to the point where it's tough to find the two 50 point wines that make up our 100 point wine. sometimes we take one for the team and sacrifice a point by finding three 33 point wines. if anyone has pull with the wine raters, moving to a decimal rating would surely help our cause.
